I love Jim Cramer's Mad Money, am I sane?

Question And Answer Category: Stocks

Question:

Dear BlankHelp Team,

I am concerned about savings, I have long term investments I leave in mutual funds, but I like my short term stuff. I listen to Jim Cramer, you know the Mad Money Guy, and I was wondering, what is your take on his investment styles.

Jim Cramer has been very public with his investments, and seems to be doing very well. I love the Jim Cramer Mad Money radio show.

So, what do you think?

Thank you,

Barbra

Our Advice and Answer:

Hello Barbra,

We are too a fan of Jim Cramer, and we love his radio show. However, we do not follow his stock picks, or act on his stock buying tips or the sell now reports. You will figure out why once we tell you what we think.

If you like Jim Cramer's picks, they you need to be either with him, or not use him. You can't dabble, or touchy-feely with Jim Cramer's stock advice. Jim Cramer's 'system' is an all or nothing approach to making money. Since Jim Cramer isn't driven to making commissions like your typical stock broker, he will tell you to keep stock on the table for a while. Sometime he loses, and his goal is to minimize the loss, but by working with the whole system of buying, holding, and selling stocks as Jim Cramer calls it, the wins out-weight the losses. So, if you only pick and choose to act on Jim Cramer's advice, you might be picking all the bad choices. Jim Cramer makes educated guesses, not physic stock predictions. He is sometimes wrong.

So, as I said earlier, we do not follow Jim Cramer, so we do not act on his stock buys or sells advice. Sine we do not follow him 100% we choose to follow him 0%.

So like any investment advice, you need to know that the market fluctuates depending on many factors, and you are at risk of losing 100% of your money. This means you need to seek professional advice for all investment transactions, or learn and become your own investment professional.

Back to Jim Cramer and Mad Money, we love the energy he has and give him a thumbs up for informing, and energizing people into learning about the stock market.

We hope this helps,

The BlankHelp Team.
