Question: |
Dear BlankHelp Team,
I've been accumulating debt like crazy. Seems like I have very little self control. I want something, it's easy to fish through my wallet for the latest credit card offer I got in the mail. What can I do, to pay off my debt, especially pay off credit card debt.
What is the first step?
Thank you,
Jason |

Our Advice and Answer: |
Dear Jason,
To pay off debt fast, the first step is to stop accumulating debt. Your personal credit card debt seems to be the largest part of your complaint. So, when you get a new credit card offer in the mail, destroy it. Shred the credit card offers, so that your personal information is protected, as you try to pay off debt.
You need to also destroy your credit cards(shred, cut up, etc) except your best two cards(in your case, maybe only one card should be chosen). Now take the remaining credit card(s) and secure them away. This way you have quick access to credit, in case of an emergency.
We can go on and on about paying off debt, but if you cannot even follow this first step, which is all you asked for, you are pretty much doomed. Unless you land into large amount of money, but then the original problem still won't be solved.
So, remember, to pay off debt, the first step is to stop building personal debt.
We wish you luck, in getting your debt addiction under control.
Sincerely,
The BlankHelp Team. |
