Easiest home energy saving tips?

Question And Answer Category: Home Energy Savings

Question:

Dear BlankHelp Team,

I don't have enough free time to do a total home energy saving process, so I was looking for the easiest home energy saving tip you can offer.

I keep my thermostat at normal levels, but it seems cold in the winter. Remember I want the easiest home energy savings tips. One right now only, OK?

thank you,

Sue

Our Advice and Answer:

Dear Sue,

Strange that you only ask for one of our many energy savings tips, but here it is.

Considering the restriction of you time, we thought the quickest ways to increase your home's energy use, and came up with caulking. Drafts will eat up a home's energy usage(heating is what you mentioned) very quickly. Sometime draft account for more of a home's energy loss, than a poorly insulated home.

If you caulked in the past, inspect it yearly. Don't be surprised that every couple of years you need to removed and re-caulk some area's of your home.

If you have more time for more of our home energy savings tips, feel free to contact us. Good luck with trying to save energy, and save money through your home improvements.

Sincerely,

The BlankHelp Team
